National Police Remembrance Day Service
Thursday 28th September 2017 | 4pm
On 28th September 2017, the eve of National Police Remembrance Day, a service will be held by the local Police community at the Eastern Suburbs Police Memorial Park, along Morrison Way (adjacent to the Administration Office).
On this day we pause for a minute to honour and remember the dedicated Police members who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Retired or still in the force, we reflect and appreciate all that the police services do for Australia.
The memorial is the first local tribute in a cemetery that compliments memorials in Canberra and Sydney CBD, where families and friends of those lives lost can come to reflect.
During the opening Commissioner Scipione said “It is with great pride I dedicate this memorial and honour the officers, whose names are inscribed, remembering their selfless sacrifice and courage. They will not be forgotten.”
